Seattle: Last Day

Our last day in Seattle was really chill.  We enjoyed a nice lunch at Steelhead Diner.  They offered a 3-course lunch for $15 for Dine around Seattle.

our awesome hosts, F, A and J

Hot Smoked Wild Salmon Rillette:  with pickled red onions and herb emulsion

Preserved Lemon Crusted Stream Raised Idaho Catfish:  with tellicherry peppercorn butter sauce and creamy hominy polenta

Kasu Marinated Oregon Black Cod:  with shitake mushrooms , baby bok choy, and carrot

Poutine

Banana Foster Creme Brulee

After lunch, A had a doctor’s appointment.  Since he was getting shots, we wanted to take a picture with him beforehand in case he was not happy after the doctor’s visit.  Amazingly, he came home all smiles.

We roamed around Pike Place Market.  Domo made an appearance.

Then, it was time to leave.  Back in December 2009, they opened the Sound Transit Light Rail that runs from downtown Seattle to the Seattle airport (SEA).  For $2.50 per person, it takes you straight to the airport.  It was really easy and convenient.

good night Seattle…until next time

We had a great mini vacation in Seattle.  A big THANK YOU to J, F and A for everything.
