2010 Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Day with my family.  One set of my uncle and aunts from Hong Kong happened to be in town, so we were fortunate to spend the holiday with them.  We ate dim sum for lunch at King Hua Restaurant in Alhambra.  We took an afternoon stroll around the neighborhood.   Then, my brother and I spent the rest of the afternoon in the kitchen cooking.  It was nice to spend that time catching up with him.

Christmas dinner included: prime rib, green bean casserole, candied yams, baked macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, stuffing, and roasted zucchini and mushrooms.  Delicious!

Hope you and your family had an enjoyable Christmas Day.  Only 11 more months till this year’s.  I cannot wait!

2010 Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Hubby’s family.  We ate dumplings for lunch with Hubby’s dad at Earthen in Hacienda Heights.  Then, we grocery shopped at the 99 Ranch next door for the hot pot ingredients for dinner at Hubby’s brother and SIL’s home.  At their home, we took a relaxing walk around the neighborhood with the kiddos.  It amazes me that A and E are already 3.5 and 2 years old, respectively.  They grow up so quickly. 

Here they are with their Christmas presents – an adroid plush toy.  We like to get them the same gift, so there is no reason to fight over one.

Our hot pot dinner included: sliced chicken, sliced pork, two different types of sliced beef, shrimp, tempura, fish and shrimp balls, daikon, tofu, mushrooms, napa, and spinach.  Yummy goodness in our tummies.

We ended the night with a family photo.  I hope we keep this annual tradition going.  It is fun to look back at previous years and see how things have changed as well as how things have stayed the same.

Hope you and your family had an enjoyable Christmas Eve.  Only 11 more months till this year’s.  I cannot wait!

Dinner at N & D’s

Back in December, I happened to be in town when N & D were having a holiday dinner party at their beautiful home.  They were great hosts and chefs!  The food was delicious and the company enjoyable.
