Kara’s Cupcakes

The first weekend in February, K and T drove down to San Jose from Sacramento for the Tet Festival.  I am so glad they decided to stop by for a brief visit with us.  We met them at Santana Row for some cupcakes and chatting.

K and T

I know K from first year in college; we were in the same econ class and lived in the same complex.  One day, I missed class and went looking for K to copy his notes.  Luckily, he did not think I was a stalker and let me borrow his notes.  It was great to meet his lovely fiance T.  They are a wonderful couple and complement each other well.  We are looking forward to their wedding this summer.

Hubby and I enjoyed a Sweet Vanilla Cupcake while K & T tried Kara’s Karrot from Kara’s Cupcakes.  At $3.25 a piece, they are a bit smaller than the $4 Sprinkles or Crumbs cupcakes.  The cupcake was a nice texture and quite moist.  The frosting was sweet but not overwhelming.  Definitely yummy!

Gary Danko

I am officially done recapping 2010.  Now on to the wonderful events of 2011.

On January 5, we spent some time with Hubby’s cousin J and her family in San Francisco.  They were visiting the city from Seattle.  While at their hotel, we took this lovely group shot.
