Two Years Later

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Hubby!

A couple of months ago, I was thinking about our upcoming anniversary and was shocked to realize that it was only going to be our second wedding anniversary.  It felt like we should be celebrating our fourth or fifth.  When I mentioned this to Hubby, he was like no, no…it feels like two years.  A few weeks later, he messaged me to confirm our wedding date.  I asked him why, and he said that he was talking to a co-worker and told him that we were married for a few years (instead of two).  All I had to say to that was, “I told you so!”.

This year our gift to each other is the addition of baby E to our family.  She is such a blessing!

As a reminder of our commitment to each other:

On this special day,
I,…, give to you…,
in the presence of God
and our family and friends,
my sacred promise to stay by your side
in sickness and in health,
in joy and in sorrow,
through good times and bad.
I promise to love you without reservation,
comfort you in times of distress,
encourage you to achieve all of your life’s goals.
I will laugh with you and cry with you,
grow with you in mind and spirit
and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

This year has flown by.  We moved into our house and did a bunch of DIY remodeling (some of which we are still working on).  We traveled to Hawaii for our first anniversary and Singapore for work.  We enjoyed a summer full of BBQs and continued to experiment in the kitchen.  We got pregnant and had a baby girl.  The memories are plentiful and the love bountiful.

Hubby, here’s to many more to come!  Cheers!
