We had forgotten how bad LA traffic can be and were a few minutes late for the ceremony.  Luckily, we made it in time to watch the gorgeous bride walk down the aisle with her dad.

After their wonderful ceremony, we headed over to USC for the reception.  N and D are die-hard Trojans, and even though we are Bruins, we love N and D enough to put the rivalry aside for one night.  We will just wait till December and see what happens on the football field.

The ceremony was heart-warming!  They are perfect for each other!

After their touching ceremony, we proceeded to the tented area for cocktails and reception.

We sat at table 28 with the rest of the family friends.  Luckily they put us towards the back corner because to say the least, we were loud.  Here we are celebrating with the bride and groom.

As their send off, everyone gathered outside and formed a walkway with sparklers.  It was very pretty.  Hubby had some fun, too!

Bonus:  my freshman year in high school, my parents decided that it was best that I attend private school, instead of continuing in the public school system.  There, I became friends with A, who happens to be V’s cousin.  Such a small world!

It is crazy to think that I have known S since 5th grade.  Although he moved away after middle school, we have been fortunate to kept in touch all these years.  Even more amazing than that is that S and J are high school sweethearts and have dated for over 10 years.  It was about time they finally tie the knot!  We are incredibly happy for them and honored to have been a part of their special day.

Dinner started with a Baby Spinach Salad with Yukon Gold Potatoes and Red Onions, Warm Bacon Dressing.  For entrees, I had the Pepper Seared Beef Filet with Wild Mushroom Risotto, Asparagus and Roasted Carrots (top left) and Hubby had the Grilled Swordfish with Vegetable and Bell Pepper “Putanesca” and Buttermilk Whipped Potatoes (bottom left).  The risotto was to die for good.  Lastly, we had wedding cake for dessert.  Yum!
