1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
2. Cut bread in half and place on baking sheet

3. Spread tomato sauce on the top

4. Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce

5. Add desired toppings (pepperoni, mushroom, broccoli, sausage, tomato, basil, endless options)

Here are steps 2-5 shown side-by-side.

6. Bake pizzas in the oven for 10 minutes (or until cheese is fully melted and toppings are cooked).

The first Saturday in March, we caught a quick flight to Seattle to visit Hubby’s cousin J, her husband F and their four month old baby A. We had a fantastic trip and are so thankful for J, F & A.

family photo (left to right): F, A, J, me, Hubby

Upon arrival, the happy family took us to Lola for brunch. The food was really yummy.

made to order doughnuts: seasonal jam, vanilla mascarpone

stack of golden brown pancakes and pork maple sausage: date butter, spiced maple syrup

eggs benedict: shaved ham, dill hollandaise

In the late afternoon, we did the Ride the Ducks of Seattle tour. It was amazing how these cars drive on land and float on water. The driver was funny and seemed knowledgeable. Be sure to bring a jacket because it was chilly on the water.

beautiful Seattle skyline

the boats from Deadliest Catch dock here

For dinner, we dined at Via Tribunali. The wood-fired oven was built by a team of masons flown in from Naples, Italy. The pizza was delicious and reminded us of our Italian honeymoon.

Rapini E Salsiggia: broccoli di rape, pomodoro, basil, mozzarella, sausage, garlic

After a fabulous dinner, we continued on to Molly Moon’s for their famous ice cream. Hubby and I both had a single scoop of Starburst in a waffle cone. F enjoyed Salted Carmel, and we brought back Balsamic Strawberry for J.

Fabulous first day in Seattle. More to come!
